Centre College invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor in World History with specialization in either East Asia or Latin America, to begin in the fall of 2012. The successful candidate will be able to teach upper division courses in the areas of his or her expertise as well as world history surveys.
Centre College is a highly selective liberal arts college of 1,250 students, listed by U.S. News in the top fifty liberal arts colleges in the nation. Classes are small and academic standards are high. The College is located in Danville, Kentucky, a small town of 18,000 recognized for its high quality of life. What can I do with a B.A. in Japanese Studies? 
Not that I’m in any position, I don’t think, to be applying for these positions any time soon, but to have the listings here is really wonderful. A great resource. I hope that when I finish my PhD, and *am* ready to start looking for such positions, that maybe your listings will still be going 🙂

We normally don’t get feedback on our job postings, so sometimes I wonder if posting so many is kind of spammy. 😉 But sometimes it’s hard to find where these things are up, so I figured it was always worth putting up. Hopefully I won’t get too busy and start slacking off on this kind of stuff once my own PhD starts to swallow me whole… 😛
