Position:  Visiting Assistant Professor, Asian History

Pacific University, Oregon, invites applications for a full-time, one-year (with possibility of renewal) Visiting Assistant Professor position in Asian history beginning in the Fall of 2018.  The teaching load is 5 courses per year, plus participation in the department’s senior thesis process.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. in history and an ability to teach a survey in East Asian history as well as courses in Japanese history.  Pacific University is a teaching-oriented, private, liberal arts college, located 25 miles west of Portland, Oregon.
