Emerson School is seeking a part time Japanese teacher for grades 4 and 5 for the 2013-2014 school year. All our 4th and 5th grade students take introductory Japanese classes in our lower school. Each section of students meet twice per week for a total teaching load of twelve meetings each week. The position is approximately a 50% time position with benefits available.
Candidates should have teaching experience and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Emerson School is an independent school for the gifted and for the academically talented. Our students receive Spanish instruction in grades K and 1, French instruction in grades 2 and 3, and Japanese instruction in grades 4 and 5. Our middle school language offerings, which meet five times per week, include Japanese, French, Spanish, and Latin.
