Job Opening: Premodern Japanese Literature

The College of Arts and Sciences at J. F. Oberlin University, Tokyo, invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured position in the field of Premodern Japanese Literature. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending upon qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in both Japanese and English. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent record of accomplishment and the ability to perform in a bilingual work environment.

Applications will be accepted from April 26, 2013 to May 27, 2013 (Japan time), to be followed immediately by initial screening of applications. Teaching duties will commence on April 1, 2014.
