JASC is looking for a Japanese instructor or instructors to teach beginner and intermediate Japanese as part of its Japanese Language Classes.
Start Date: End of September (Exact date will be discussed with the new instructor)
Class Schedule: See below—–A commitment of one year is required.
Beginner Japanese Semester One: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00 from September-January
Beginner Japanese Semester Two: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00 from February-July

Intermediate Japanese Semester Two: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-7:00 from February-July
Text Book: The choice is up to the instructor(s). Past instructors have used Japanese for Busy People due to its cost and easy access for purchase; however, should you have any other material that you believe is more appropriate, please let us know and we will ask you to bring the textbook at the time of interview.
Required Qualifications: At least one year of teaching experience (college level preferred) and proof of at least 2-kyu Japanese (for non-native speakers).
There will be a teaching trial test as a part of the interview process.
Pay: $30-$45 per hour, depending on enrollment.
Other: Ability to teach more intense Japanese crash courses; we had a very successful turn-out for our “Passport Japanese” class, which took place 3 times last year and hope to do something similar this year as well. Also, we are looking to expand this Japanese Language Class project and open daily summer classes for kids next summer. The teacher(s) will get additional pay for teaching these additional classes.
Those interested should send a resume to Dilek Eccles, Executive Director of Japan America Society of Colorado.
Resumes sent by post should be mailed to: 1625 Broadway, Suite 680, Denver, CO 80202. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
