Position: Tenure-track Assistant Professor – Asian History
The History Department of the University of West Georgia invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor in Asian History, all fields, beginning August 1, 2015. Responsibilities include teaching a world history survey as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate seminars. Candidates who can contribute to the department’s graduate fields in the History of Religion and / or War and Society in Global Perspective are especially encouraged to apply. Ph.D. required at time of appointment. Send letter, c.v., statement of teaching philosophy, short writing sample, sample syllabi, and three letters of recommendation. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2014. All applications must be postmarked by November 15, 2014. Located about 50 miles from Atlanta, UWG is a comprehensive university with about 12, 000 students and a growing M.A. program in History.
