YALE UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES intends to make a tenure-track appointment in the field of East Asian Buddhism beginning July 1, 2015, at the rank of Assistant Professor.  Applications are invited and welcome from scholars with research specialties in pre-modern Chinese and/or Japanese Buddhism.  Expert knowledge of Japanese and Chinese required and a familiarity with Sanskrit desired.
