Work as directed with Director to promote, plan, and implement international initiatives. This will necessitate:
- Some foreign travel and effective communication of information essential for the successful pursuit of such initiatives, especially those based in China;
- Assisting with coordinating ongoing cultural orientation and programming activities and providing program support to international students throughout the academic year.
- Possible evening and weekend duties are likely.
- Developing and sustaining degree and non-degree program initiatives in China;
- Coordinating and implementing existing 1+2+1 and 2+2 dual degree programs;
- Developing promotional materials;
- ESL class instruction;
- Coordinating with the Study Abroad Coordinator to identify and implement study abroad opportunities for domestic students in Asia;
- Assisting with ongoing program coordination for the Global Living Learning Community;
- Maintaining relevant webpages and social media platforms;
Assist with other IP activities and programs as directed by the Director.
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Ph.D. preferred by time of appointment, Master’s degree required (discipline open). Experience with Asian culture and international programs and students at the university level is desired. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to positively represent the International Office in conjunction with other team members. Master’s or the Equivalent number of years of experience coordinating programs in an International Programs Office in the U.S.
