Lewis & Clark College, a private liberal arts college with 2,000 undergraduates, invites applications for a one-year replacement visiting assistant professorship in the Department of History for the 2014-15 academic year.  Applicants must have a PhD or be advanced ABD candidates in history. Potential for excellent teaching at an undergraduate institution is essential. The course load will be five classes, including the survey in early East Asian history and four classes in the visitor’s area of experience.  The College is committed to preparing students for leadership in an increasingly interdependent world, and affirms the educational benefits of diversity.
