The Role:

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor for it’s Asia First Word team in Tokyo. The editor will help generate and shape ideas, edit copy, coach and mentor reporters and interact with fellow editors and teams across the News department. Business editing experience is preferred. The successful applicant will be able to work with reporters to produce breaking news stories under deadline pressure and help edit more analytical articles like previews of key events, news events.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
– Experience working in a real-time news environment
– Minimum of three years of business journalism experience is a plus
– Ability to edit quickly and concisely under deadline pressure
– Fluency in Japanese and English is essential
