Duties: The International Admissions Credential Evaluator will be a member of USF’s Office of Admissions and their International team and INTO University of South Florida and their Enrollment Services unit. The evaluator will be co-located with the USF Admissions staff. The evaluator selected will have knowledge of educational systems, make use of online and printed publications, be self-directed in conducting independent research, exert meticulous attention to detail, meet deadlines and be able to work under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines. The evaluator should also have experience in working with a student information system such as Elluican Banner and/or a customer relationship management (CRM) system such as Salesforce.com

The evaluator will work with credentials for applicants to INTO USF Pathway programs as well as international undergraduate and graduate direct applicants. The credential evaluator will take direction from INTO USF’s Enrollment Services Manager and Assistant Center Director as well as from the leadership of USF’s Office of Admissions: International team. Academic credentials to be evaluated include both secondary and postsecondary level coursework with a primary focus on college transcripts from Asian countries (China, India).

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Evaluation of applications for admission and supporting academic credentials (secondary and post-secondary foreign credentials) to determine admissibility and scholarship eligibility;
– Possible management of an international recruitment territory by providing admission advising, maintaining regular communication with prospective students, applicants, secondary school and university officials, EducationUSA advisors, coordinating admission functions, and representing USF at recruitment fairs. While much of the recruitment will be conducted through the effective use of technology and new media, some international travel may be require;
– Analysis of data to determine marketing effectiveness and impact on applicant and enrollment objectives for targeted populations;
– Serving as departmental contact with academic colleges, Graduate School, INTO USF, Student Affairs, USF World and other departments related to international students;
-Assistance with the development of the unit’s recruitment and yield communications plan and initiatives, to include e-mail, chat and telephone campaigns (e.g., e-postcards, calling scripts, etc.) as well as providing as needed Information Sessions to prospective students and their families, front-line customer service and advising.

Additional responsibilities may include the following:
Recruitment of international freshman, transfer and graduate recruitment; prospect management by region and admission advising; admissions customer service; international scholarship management; review of international undergraduate applications; communication of USF’s admissions decisions to international applicants and their authorized representatives.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience): This position requires a Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Education or other related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in those same fields with a minimum of one year of directly related experience. Alternatively, in specialized academic areas, the position may require a degree in that field of study. Work experience may not be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this position.This position requires a Master’s degree in Business, Communication, Education, Foreign Language, International Studies, Library Science, World Languages or other related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in those same fields with a minimum of one year of directly related foreign credential evaluation experience. Alternatively, in specialized academic areas, the position may require a degree in that field of study. Work experience may not be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this position.

Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience): Preference given toward applicants demonstrating one to several years of professional experience with working in the field of international secondary and/or post-secondary credential evaluations.
