The Department of Asian Studies at Williams College anticipates an opening for a one-year lecturer position, with possibility of renewal, in Japanese language beginning September 2013. The position is visiting, full-time. Candidate should preferably have Ph.D. in foreign language education, linguistics, or a related field. Candidate with M.A. in an appropriate field is also strongly encouraged to apply. In either case, candidate should have native or near-native proficiency in Japanese, strong teaching experience at the college level, and ability to teach all levels of language in close coordination with departmental colleagues.
