Major/Essential Duties of Job:
Assists in identifying funding opportunities, organizing grant related activities, developing grant fund disbursements, promotional media and marketing, writing periodic grant reports, and facilitating current and future funded projects. Independently organize programming that supports internationalization efforts of units across the campus; organize and support events and external visitors. Communicates with our faculty and with overseas counterparts regarding planning for meetings, events and travel arrangements. Coordinates with other staff to provide content for overall marketing/ communications efforts, including press releases, social media, website, radio and newspaper outreach. Develops and proofs content for various publications. Other duties as required.

Occasional Duties:
Provides background research and information to faculty, administrators, and other university units regarding potential and grants and projects. Performs other related duties as required.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience (eight years experience with high school graduation or four years with an Associate’s degree). Three years experience in office administration or project management. Ability to make independent judgments, problem-solve and communicate well (written and spoken) with a wide variety of people; ability to work in a team environment. Thorough oral/written competency in English, and strong writing skills. Demonstrated ability to work in diverse environment, work effectively with others and ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. May require periodic weekend or evening hours. May require occasional travel. Requires ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree. Experience working in higher education or international setting. Working knowledge of foreign language (especially Spanish, Arabic, or prominent Asian language) preferred. Knowledge of proposal preparation and project management. Highly organized, able to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
