This person will actively recruit, enroll and advise qualified international undergraduate, exchange, graduate and English as a Second Language (ESL) students. In cooperation with the Director, s/he creates and implements undergraduate, ESL and graduate international student recruitment efforts in the US and abroad. He/she serves as the main contact for prospective students and their representatives and is responsible for maintaining relationships with agents and overseas advisors. S/he provides advising and programming for students planning to participate in education abroad. S/he serves as a key member of the Office of International Education team. This position will include significant travel as well as evening and weekend program participation as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
- Previous study or work abroad experience or experience working in a campus international office required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in higher education recruitment preferred
- Experience living or working in Asia strongly preferred.
- Detail oriented; strong computer knowledge
- Proficiency in a language in addition to English preferred
- Willingness to travel internationally
