Job Opening: East Asian History, Assistant Professor (tenure-track)

The Department of History at the C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of in East Asian history, pending budgetary approval.  Area of specialization is open.  The successful candidate will teach Western Civilization or thematic introductory courses, and specialized courses at both the undergraduate and masters levels. Candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and scholarly potential.  PhD in hand by August, 2012.
