The National Cherry Blossom Festival organization is currently recruiting Goodwill Ambassadors to be a part of the 100th anniversary cherry blossom festival next spring. Each fall prior to the upcoming Festival, the National Cherry Blossom Festival organization interviews and selects a group of young adults to be part of one of its most highly regarded and signature programs: the Goodwill Ambassador Program. The final group is comprised of talented, energetic individuals who have a true passion for international relations, community involvement, and the Festival.

Goodwill Ambassadors in past years have had the opportunity to meet the Ambassador of Japan and leaders in the DC community. They’ve been involved in the Festival’s Neighborhood Tree Planting and Youth Ambassadors programs, and have served as an indispensable resource for thousands of visitors to the Festival. After their Goodwill Ambassador “experience,” many of the individuals have indicated that the contacts they made through the program were helpful as they embarked on professional careers as well.
