East Asia. Valparaiso University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor of East Asian history to begin August 2012. PhD and evidence of scholarship in Chinese and/or Japanese history required. Valparaiso University has a strong undergraduate Chinese and Japanese studies program and a Master of Arts in Chinese Studies program.  Evidence of strong teaching is desirable.  Ability to teach in the Freshman Core program is required and willingness to teach classes in Twentieth Century World History preferred.
