Job Opening: South Asian or East Asian History, Assistant Professor

The Department of History at Wright State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the history of South Asia or East Asia in the 19th-and/or 20th-centuries. Candidates should hold (by August 16, 2012) a Ph.D. in history or relevant interdisciplinary area, preferably with a focus on China or India, and be committed to interdisciplinary work; interest in faculty exchange programs preferred.  The successful candidate will help expand a growing, college- wide Asian Studies emphasis and will teach Regional Studies courses in the Core program as well as upper-level and graduate classes.
