The University of Central Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the Director of International Programs.

Responsibilities
This position directs and administers the details of all International programs which include: serving as an advisor to faculty, students, and international educational centers regarding UCM’s international programs, policies, goals, services, international travel, student status, employment, and other international program-related issues; ensuring compliance with exchange agreements including the Missouri Consortium (MOCON) programs, International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) and program providers such as International Studies Abroad (ISA), AustraLearn-AsiaLearn, CIEE and College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS); creating and directing special international summer programs both on campus and internationally creating more opportunities for UCM students to interact internationally; supporting and advising UCM Deans and Department Chairs developing joint degree and dual degree programs; and coordinating all faculty-led study tours providing programmatic and budgetary guidance.

This position also conducts thorough periodic site inspections and reviews of all programs in Asia, Australia and New Zealand and assist as needed with inspections in Europe, Africa, and the Americas; recommends modifications to existing programs; customizes program offerings for colleges in consultation with senior administrators; advises campus administrators of potential liabilities; recommends and implements appropriate health/safety/security policies and provide such information to students, and faculty. Develops and administers student and program evaluations of all programs in Asia, Australia and New Zealand; works with student status issues; transfers credits for all students studying abroad in Asia, Australia and New Zealand; oversees application procedures and progress; develops and implements a strategic recruiting and enrollment plan for study abroad. Secures site visits for faculty and staff on campus; approves all literature and publicity; develops presentations to parents, students, faculty and other groups; responds to parent and student inquiries and concerns while abroad in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Manages and administers all accounts having to do with exchange and study abroad which include study grants, tuition, room and board waivers, scholarships, and faculty travel to and from partner sites in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Qualifications
A successful candidate should have a Master’s degree in Humanities, Social Science or in a field related to International Education, e.g. Foreign Language, Political Science, or International Studies. Education may be substituted for experience or experience may be substituted for education.
