Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Department Administrator, the Staff II will provide general support to the Administrator, Chair, and other office staff. Other duties include the following:
General reception
Registrar’s office contact for issues related to concentrators
Coordinating admissions application process
Computer support for faculty and staff
Gathering and maintaining directory information
General support for junior tutorials
Coordinating catalog copy
Assisting with planning social functions and lectures
Filing and shredding documents
Editing handbooks
Maintaining faculty/student database
Ordering office supplies
Organizing material for hiring process
Other responsibilities as required to keep department running
Basic Qualifications
One to two years of related office experience. Knowledge of word processing and database management (preferably MS Access).
Additional Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and pay attention to small details. Comfortable working in busy environment. Must work well independently and as part of a team.
