Duties: The MBA Program Coordinator of the MBA Department is responsible for the coordination and quality of academic business processes in the MBA Department which serves the MBA, MSA, and MSMIS programs on-campus and in Asia including~500 traditional MBA/MSA enrollments, 400 active Asian students, 178 active Asian MSMIS enrollments. These responsibilities include but are not limited to support of MBA Chair, MBA Associate Director, 5 full-time and 50 lecturers, MSA Program Director, MSMIS Program Director adjunct faculty, liaison to students within the program and prospective students, and coordination of information necessary to support accreditation and academic quality improvement.

Other duties will include: Supporting the MBA Chair, MIS Program Director, MS in Accountancy Program Director and MBA Associate Director by coordinating and ensuring quality of academic business processes within the MBA, MSMIS and MS in Accountancy programs; Coordinating pre- and post-course information for the Traditional and Asian MBA, MSMIS and MSA programs including but not limited to: publishing course syllabi, support instructional needs of faculty, dissemination/compilation of IDEA course evaluations and other survey instruments; Coordinating student advising schedules and acting as student liaison handling confidential information consistent with FERPA and University policies including student grades, inquiries about academic status, student transcripts and academic performance issues; Planning, organizing and managing conference and meeting planning including but not limited to MBA/MSMIS/MSA alumni functions, departmental meetings, faculty development programs/dinners, academic honor society (including coordinate membership) and MBA hosted programs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Five years prior office experience. PeopleSoft experience preferred.

Specific Skills: High-level customer service and communication skills; excellent planning and organization skills; strong ability to take the initiative, self-manage, and multi-task; excellent computer skills. Attention to detail, problem solving, and ability to document processes is crucial. Must maintain confidentiality.

Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point; PeopleSoft; Internet and web applications; fax; copier.

Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable): N/A

Working Conditions: Occasional evening hours required. Work requires use of standard office equipment, the ability to lift boxes, and bending/stooping to maintain office equipment.
