Al Jazeera reports in this brief video about Akane Niikura, a 10-year old girl in the fourth grade who has become Japan’s youngest sake connoisseur. But don’t start getting worried about how her parents let her indulge in Japan’s traditional rice-wine alcohol at such a young age—she’s mastered her ability to select sake and pair it with the perfect food by smell and sight alone, sniffing the sake and observing how it clings to a glass.
