The Foreign Language department at CWU is accepting applications to fill current and future full-time and part-time appointment lecturer positions to teach classes in the courses/subject areas listed below. This list is not all inclusive: other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.

American Sign Language – 1st and 2nd year Courses
Chinese – 1st and 2nd year Courses
French – 1st and 2nd year Courses
German – 1st and 2nd year Courses
Japanese – 1st and 2nd year Courses
Latin – 1st and 2nd year Courses
Russian – 1st and 2nd year Courses
Spanish – 1st and 2nd year Courses

Required Qualifications – Master’s degree

Preferred Qualifications – Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the college level

This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the department of Foreign Languages through March 2012. Selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed. The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department. Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter. Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2012.

Individuals in the current pool must renew their application for inclusion in the CWU lecturer pool each year by reapplying to the pool.
