Position: Visiting Assistant Professor
Valparaiso University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor of East Asian history to begin August 2011. PhD and evidence of scholarship in Chinese and/or Japanese history required. Valparaiso University has a strong undergraduate Chinese and Japanese studies program and a Master of Arts in Chinese Studies program. Ability to teach the following classes preferred: Introduction to East Asian Culture, History of Modern China, and Twentieth Century World History. Candidates should be interested in working in a university committed to Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition.
