Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, seeks a full-time visiting assistant professor of anthropology to teach courses on East Asian Studies and Ethnic Groups.

Rank and Salary:
One-year, full-time, visiting faculty member, at the assistant professor rank; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience + benefits package.
Responsibilities:
-Teach introductory undergraduate classes in cultural anthropology and two upper division classes, one of which must be “East Asian Cultures” and the other preferably “Ethnic Groups,” although alternative options could be considered. The six-course annual load will include two introductory classes in the fall semester, one upper division class (“Ethnic Groups” or alternative) in the January term, and two introductory classes in addition to the “East Asian Cultures” class in the Spring semester.
Qualifications:
-Minimum ABD required; Ph.D. preferred.
-Commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate level.
